KHAL 98.9FM - 011 - Going nowhere fast

The Dave Clark Five - On the move - Columbia - 1965 - Fantastic frantic flipside of Dave Clark Five´s 1965 hit "Catch us if you can"
Johnny No and the No-Men - Going nowhere fast - JO-NO - 2019 - A modern day garagepunk classic from this Berlin based beat group with Johnny No from the beloved No-Counts. Both sides of the 45 have the same song but what a song!
The Warlocks - Time will prove them wrong - Unreleased - 1966 - Great garagepunk song believed to be from the pre ZZ Top Warlocks that released 2 45s of which "If you really want me to stay" is most known (Texas Flashback comp)
The Kryng - You were on my mind - Spazz - 2019 - 5th 45 from Dutch productive powertrio. Beat & fuzzpunker A-side. Before the end of the year their 4th LP should be in the shops.
The Premonitions - My love ain´t a lie - Bickerton - 2019 - Follow up to their fantastic debut 45 on Outro records. Ripping of a very familiar riff, but turning it into a great '60s inspired beat and garage-rock song.
The Argons - Do the dog - Casino - 1964 - Classic screamer on the borderline between rockabilly and garagepunk
Subsonics - He´s a keeper of the fire - Hidden Volume - 2018 - Fresh sounding snotty snarling garage stomper from scene veterans out of Atlanta
The Creation Factory - The woods - Lolipop - 2018 - Taken from their selftitled debut album released last year sounding a lot like how I imagine LA would sound in 66. Think Love, Seeds & Standells
The No-Counts - Sleep forever - No-Fi - 2019 - After 24 years there´s finally a follow up to the great "Cold as ice" 45. Again released on their own label, this is a terrific moody garage song which would perfectly fit on comps such as "I´m down today" or "Shutdown 66"
Les Robots - Big trouble in outer space - Spazz - 2019 - After 2 45s on same label time for the debut full length of the mysterious Les Robots. 12 Great instrumentals reminiscent of Joe Meek & Man and Astroman of which this is a perfect example (this also is on their 2nd 45)
Heinz with the Wild Boys - Big fat spider - Columbia - 1965 - Thinking about Joe Meek quickly Tornadoes & Telstar come to mind, but also Heinz and this amazing tune which suprisingly enough failed miserably in 1965. Unbelievable.
The Modern Sounds - Baby shake mit mir - Voque Schallplatten/ Eremite - 1964/ 2012 - Great upbeat German R&B version of Unchain my heart. Hard to find, but appeared on comp with same name in 2012

KHAL 98.9FM - 010 - Johnny

Curleys - Johnny - Total Punk - 2019 - Unbeatable craziness from a bunch out of Gainsville Florida, ripping through 5 songs on their vinyl debut that would make Danny Rolling proud.
Urochromes - Your haid so big - Wharf Cat - 2019 - Second appearance on one of my shows for this crazy duo from western Massachusetts this is another instant classic as these guys always seem to deliver, from their latest record 'Trope House'.

The Dutts - Lazy boy - La Pochette Surprise - 2018 - Excellent punk from Hamburg Germany, this is from a cassette in the same year there was a vinyl single on Euro Trash Records word now is they're defunct.
Night Punch - Headache - Selfreleased - 2019 - Self released closely connected to the amazing La Pochette Surprise label and other bands released on that label. From Hamburg another great band.

Pig Frenzy - Consent/ Creeps - Selfreleased - 2019 - After two vinyl releases this comes from the 'Hogtied' ep which should be available on cassette. Some great punk tunes, this thee best one.
Booij Boys - Tube reducer - Drunken Sailor - 2019 - Raw recorded punk which makes this better than any average dime a dozen who are around plenty. From their recently released third album and what do you know they are from Canada!
Vision 3D - Fugacite - Six Tonnes De Chair, Belly Button, Wake in Fright - 2019 - From their debut album one of my favourites, exciting garage punk from Tournai Belgium.
Atomic Eater - Hope u die too - Selfreleased - 2019 - Sweden synth punk four great songs on a cassette, this the one where they hope I die too.
Rubber Room - Chemical imbalance - Piss Fart - 2019 - Members of Drunk Mums and Gee Tee together Rubber Room celebrating some Screamers like synth punk, great stuff as we came to expect from Australia.
The Fritz - Sadistic dreams - Selfreleased - 2019 - Two piece from the center of a lot of crazy things, Indiana USA. This was taken from 'Rockin' On Crane PI'. Last year they released a vinyl full length on Drunken Sailor Records.
Satanic Togas - Sick - Wartmann Inc - 2017 - Can't go wrong with something like Satanic Togas from Australia, be sure to check them out. Like the split they released with Gee Tee earlier this year on Goodbye Boozy Records. This is some of their earlier more obscure work I guess.
Neo Neos - Asexuallickally - Another Label - 2018 - Connie Voltaire the man behind Another Label Records from Minnesota, releasing mostly his own brilliance and sometimes that of others. Great label, great sound, great band!
G.T.R.R.C. - Food fight - Wartmann Inc - 2019 - Good Time Retard Rock Corporation a collaboration between bands of familiar people and sounds, you do the math. A cassette called 'Rock Pigs' six covers, this one being the biggest party tune originally by the Village People.
