KHAL 98.9FM - 011 - Going nowhere fast
The Dave Clark Five - On the move - Columbia - 1965 - Fantastic frantic flipside of Dave Clark Five´s 1965 hit "Catch us if you can"
Johnny No and the No-Men - Going nowhere fast - JO-NO - 2019 - A modern day garagepunk classic from this Berlin based beat group with Johnny No from the beloved No-Counts. Both sides of the 45 have the same song but what a song!
The Warlocks - Time will prove them wrong - Unreleased - 1966 - Great garagepunk song believed to be from the pre ZZ Top Warlocks that released 2 45s of which "If you really want me to stay" is most known (Texas Flashback comp)
The Kryng - You were on my mind - Spazz - 2019 - 5th 45 from Dutch productive powertrio. Beat & fuzzpunker A-side. Before the end of the year their 4th LP should be in the shops.
The Premonitions - My love ain´t a lie - Bickerton - 2019 - Follow up to their fantastic debut 45 on Outro records. Ripping of a very familiar riff, but turning it into a great '60s inspired beat and garage-rock song.
The Argons - Do the dog - Casino - 1964 - Classic screamer on the borderline between rockabilly and garagepunk
Subsonics - He´s a keeper of the fire - Hidden Volume - 2018 - Fresh sounding snotty snarling garage stomper from scene veterans out of Atlanta
The Creation Factory - The woods - Lolipop - 2018 - Taken from their selftitled debut album released last year sounding a lot like how I imagine LA would sound in 66. Think Love, Seeds & Standells
The No-Counts - Sleep forever - No-Fi - 2019 - After 24 years there´s finally a follow up to the great "Cold as ice" 45. Again released on their own label, this is a terrific moody garage song which would perfectly fit on comps such as "I´m down today" or "Shutdown 66"
Les Robots - Big trouble in outer space - Spazz - 2019 - After 2 45s on same label time for the debut full length of the mysterious Les Robots. 12 Great instrumentals reminiscent of Joe Meek & Man and Astroman of which this is a perfect example (this also is on their 2nd 45)
Heinz with the Wild Boys - Big fat spider - Columbia - 1965 - Thinking about Joe Meek quickly Tornadoes & Telstar come to mind, but also Heinz and this amazing tune which suprisingly enough failed miserably in 1965. Unbelievable.
The Modern Sounds - Baby shake mit mir - Voque Schallplatten/ Eremite - 1964/ 2012 - Great upbeat German R&B version of Unchain my heart. Hard to find, but appeared on comp with same name in 2012
